Product Introduction:
Daruwin's EPS bead is a high-performance material for refrigerated packaging that has been specially developed for cold chain transportation and insulated packaging. It is made by pre-foaming and mold shaping and can be used to make various cold storage boxes, insulated containers, and cushioning layers for cold chain transportation. It consists of uniformly distributed foam particles and has a high expansion ratio resulting in its being lightweight while at the same time capable of maintaining a stable insulation performance for the long term. Low temperature resistance, non-absorbent and water resistant characteristics, as well as flexibility in processing, make it suitable for the manufacture of large-sized or thick-walled structures. It represents a highly reliable and efficient raw material of cold chain packaging manufacturers' preference.

What can cold chain packaging EPS beads be used for?
Cold chain transport boxes and insulated containers
Food packaging boxes for cold chain distribution
Cushioning structures for fresh produce, seafood, and frozen goods transportation
Inner liners for pharmaceutical cold chain insulation boxes
Cold chain packaging panels and modular cold box structural components
Why is this type of EPS bead needed for cold chain packaging?
The closed air pores in the EPS block the air which is why it works as thermal insulation. After several foaming steps, foam particles achieve their perfect shape with evenly distributed air pores, thereby facilitating a stable thermal insulation component. Cold chain transportation implies a long time exposure in an environment with a low temperature. Molded EPS is lightweight and stable, thus the water is not easily absorbed and the material does not collapse to maintain the cold chain effect. Expanded Polystyrene Eps Beads can be used to create cold storage boxes and insulated containers of different sizes and thicknesses which can be varied depending on the requirements.

Processing and Production Characteristics:
In true processing and production, EPS Beads Flame Retardant of Daruwin will be very handy for the manufacturers. Its compatibility with various common pre-foaming and molding machines is independent of equipment type and production line age, whether new or old - it will work smoothly. The foam particles during the pre-foaming step are dry and loose, not tending to form clumps, and have good fluidity. They fill the mold perfectly thereby effectively reducing problems such as material shortage and corner collapse. Also, the curing time is easy to manage, most of the time it is in the range of 4–12 hours, and the season and environment can be flexibly utilised to make the necessary adjustments without disturbing the production flow. In the molding phase, the heating duration is around, the device used for molding in good condition is flexible and the operating validity is identifiable, hence, production stability is so strong overall. Whether small refrigerated packaging boxes or large refrigerated transport containers with thick walls, processing and molding can be done here efficiently and product long-term, large-scale usage is expected.

FAQs:
Q1: Is this EPS raw material OK for frozen food transportation?
Definitely it is. The foam cell structure is uniform, hence the insulation performance is quite stable and as a result, the product can be used for a very long time at low temperatures.
Q2: Is it fine to make large-sized refrigerated containers from it?
Sure, why not? On top of that, it is suitable for thick- walled large- volume refrigerated containers since it has good molding properties.
Q3: Will the refrigerated packaging be heavier due to absorbing water?
If the processes are reasonable and the molding is sealed, water absorption will hardly occur, thus the buoyancy and insulation performances may still be stable.
Q4: Are you able to support long-term bulk supply?
We tend to prefer the customers with which we can have a long-term cooperation and for the projects we can guarantee the supply that is stable.
Q5: Could particle size or expansion ratio be adjusted?
There is no problem. We can create a perfect solution based on the thickness of the customer's refrigerated container, the low-temperature requirements, and the production equipment.
